FROM THE BUSINESS MANAGER
Hi Everyone,
Koala Kids OSCH Service

VOLLEYBALL
Game 3
Jones Hill Black vs. CCC
Jones Hill Black put on a nail biter of a game against CCC, winning 2-0 in close sets. Winning the first set by a mere 1 point, 32-31 and 4 points in the 2nd set with a score of 33-29. Will lead the team as Captain, starting the game off on the receiving end. Team Black worked extremely well together as a team, calling for the ball and committing themselves to the play. Player of the Match went to Madeleine for her consistency in serving and passing.

Jones Hill Green vs. Victory
Jones Hill Green fought hard against Victory, with Victory taking the lead 2-0 (Set 1: 14-43; Set 2: 21-32). Once again, after a bit of a rocky start, we were able to close the gap in the 2nd set. Team Green impressed by getting touches on the ball and taking some strong, hard hits from the opposition. Mason was nominated as Captain and led the team with enthusiasm and demonstrated persistence to achieve some overarm serves. Will received Player of the Match, for his ability to commit to the ball when calling for it. All players put in an amazing effort and are commended for their resilience and teamwork.

P&C NEWS
WE NEED YOUR HELP, JONES HILL FAMILIES!
At our recent P&C AGM, we were unable to fill the role of Fundraising Coordinator — which puts some of our favourite events at risk for 2025, including:
- Mother’s Day & Father’s Day Stalls
- School Discos
- Christmas Concert BBQ
- Raffles and more!
These events help raise around $20,000 each year for projects that benefit every student. Thanks to last year’s efforts, the P&C is covering all school bus trips in 2025, easing the cost of excursions and swimming for families
Instead of a single coordinator, we’re now forming a Fundraising Committee to help share the load — and we need YOU! A letter has been sent home with your child with more information.
No need to attend every P&C meeting
Kids welcome at meetings
You’ll be supported by an amazing team of volunteers!
Without a coordinator or committee, these events won’t happen in 2025. Let’s come together to keep them going for our kids!
Interested?
Email Gina or Louise at: pandcsecretary@jonehillss.eq.edu.au or let the school office know and they will pass your details on.

CONTAINERS PLEASE
The Jones Hill SS community is doing their part to reduce landfill and keep our waterways clean. Thank you to all of our families and students for supporting this very worthy cause.

Keep bringing in your containers for recycling. All plastic bottles, aluminium cans, tetra packs can be dropped off to the office. Glass bottles can be brought in by adults only.
