Leadership Team Report
Hi Everyone,
HIGH ROPES
Over the past two weeks students from our year 5 and 6 classes have been attending the High Ropes program at Gympie East. The students, staff and parents enjoyed the activities and found them challenging and exciting. Thank you to the parents who volunteered to help out on these days.
PREP GARDEN
Two of our Prep parents, Amy Wheeler and Jason Hubner and some of our prep students have been working hard on replanting the Prep garden. Mitre 10 and Bunnings donated garden supplies to help with this work. The gardens are looking great and we would like to say a big thank you to all involved.
EISTEDDFOD
At this year's Gympie Eisteddfod, Jones Hill students represented our school in the Marimbas, Djembe Drums, Choir and Strings as well as solo performance in all areas. Mrs Grogan and I had the pleasure of attending our choir performance. We were extremely proud of our students who sang with great enthusiasm and passion. Their hard work and practice certainly paid off as they received a Highly Commended for their performance. Our String Ensemble were rewarded with a Second place prize. Three of our students performed with the Gympie State High School band and this group was lucky enough to receive a third place. Congratulations to all who participated. Well done!
SPORTS EQUIPMENT
Sports equipment has been provided for each of the play areas for student use. The idea of the equipment is to ensure students have appropriate access to balls and skipping ropes for play. As this equipment is available please ensure student balls are no longer bought to school.
Students can bring handballs for games in the covered areas.
Kind Regards,
James Watt and Helen Grogan

Camp Australia News
This week at Camp Australia Before and After School Care we focused on Japan. The children learned a little about their culture, how to count to 10, say hello and also write their names in Japanese, we decorated fans, made ninjas and made carp kites, which the children enjoyed as they loved flying them outside. The children also enjoyed working together as a group to create this large building, a rocket ship, house and ferris wheel using straw and connectors. Other activities we have done this week are play soccer, touch, outside play, imaginative game play, home corner, lego, and helicopter to name a few.
