Leadership Team Report
Hi Everyone,
WOW!
Every now and again in the school things will happen that just show what an amazing community we have. Superlatives can often be over used, however I would like to say that the Fete on Friday night was fantastic!
A very dedicated P&C spent countless hours planning, organising and running what I would say was the most successful school fete I have been involved in.
School staff spent time making sure their class stalls and activities were well organised and successful for the students. They were supported by great parent support, whether it be in donations or time to help.
From the opening of the fete by Amber Lawrence, who performed for free, to Cody and Luke from House Rules giving their time in such a great fashion, the whole night was a great family friendly outing.
It has been lovely to see all the positive comments and support we have received about the night. I think it is fair to declare that Jones Hill's first fete in 14 years was a huge success.
I was pleased I was able to help iron out the bugs in the Big Splash as everyone that threw a ball managed to drench me! I think the innovative award goes to Mrs Grogan who wore a rain coat and had an umbrella!
On behalf of the staff, Thank you to our P&C and fabulous community for all your effort and work in showing just what a great community we have.

GOLD RUSH
It was wonderful to see the spirit of our school being represented so well in the annual Gold Rush Festival Parade. Our djembe drummers did a fantastic job of keeping the rhythm going the whole parade, and our student helpers handed out treats and information about our school to the children in the crowd. As usual, all our students made us exceptionally proud.
Thank you parents once again for your amazing support in getting your children to the parade. Thanks also to the following parents and staff for their support in getting the truck decorated and participating in the parade; Natalie Hanson, Carmel Window, Kirsty Delisser, Alana Falk, Helen Grogan, Tammy Pengelly, Sue Walker and an extra special thank you to Bruce Window for driving the truck for us.

P&C News
I would like to thank all of our very hard working fete committee for their help in organising this event. Without your help it would not have been possible.
Thank you to the teaching staff for getting on board and supporting the P&C in hosting a fete.
Thanks to all of the wonderful people who took on stalls, some last minute, to help set up and run the stall during the fete.
To all the people and businesses that loaned us gazebos, tables, chairs etc. when we need them, thank you.
A big thank you to the people who helped in the canteen either with the prep work during the day or serving during the event. Special mention to Judy Whittaker, her husband John and Duncan Head who took on and ran the canteen on behalf of the P&C.
To Charlie and Annette Horn from Gympie Cooloola Foods who loaned us their cooking equipment and also stayed and cooked for the entire night. Their help was so greatly appreciated.
To anyone who has helped in the any way that was needed to make this event possible I would like to thank you.
Thank you to everyone who came along and made the night the huge success that it was.
Lastly to my family I would like to thank them for being so patient in the lead up to the fete.
THANK YOU
Carmel Window
P&C President.
