LEADERSHIP TEAM REPORT
Hi Everyone,
THANK YOU AND GOODBYE
On Friday we said goodbye to the Al-Ali family who are moving to Brisbane. Mustafa and Maryem came to our school from Iraq in 2014 speaking very limited English. Both have had great success with their learning and have been wonderful students at Jones Hill School.
Maryem and her Mother, Sura, both spoke on parade and were very thankful to the Jones Hill community for their warm welcome, support and help with the children’s education.
The Al-Ali family have made a very generous donation to the school and we would like to thank them for this. It will be put to good use to support our students.
We wish Sura, Ahmed, Maryem and Mustafa all the best as they head off to their next adventure.
SPORTS REPRESENTATIVES
On October 28 Matthew B, Lilly W, Cooper K, Mahalia B, Regan H, Lilly S and Thomas B competed in the Sunshine Coast Touch Football Championships at Bribie Island. Two of our students Lilly S and Thomas B have gone on to be selected for the 2018 Sunshine Coast Fraser and Burnett Districts junior squad. The junior squads will compete in the state championships in 2018.
