2019 SRS
Over the last two years, Jones Hill School has run a Student Resource Scheme that included a full stationery book list. The scheme was overwhelmingly supported by parents/caregivers and was very successful. The Student Resource Scheme is was discussed at the Parents and Citizens’ Association meeting this week and was endorsed by the committee.
Registration forms will be sent home prior to the holidays. Participation in the scheme is voluntary and no obligation is placed on a parent/guardian to participate. However, if you choose not to participate, you will be required to provide all textbooks and resources that would have been otherwise provided by participation in the scheme and pay a non-participation fee which will cover the cost of items such as Classroom learning activities, resources, textbooks (including photocopied textbooks used in lieu of traditional textbooks) and all licences for Computer Programs (this includes Apps for iPads).
Kind Regards,
James Watt and Stacey Seed

MINI READERS CUP
On Monday September 3 the Jones Hill Mini Readers Cup took place. Two Teams battled it out by answering 30 tough questions. The books we read were Fox by Margaret Wild, Give Peas a Chance by Morris Glietzman and A Series of Unfortunate Events: The Miserable Mill by Lemony Snickett. The winning team was the Jones Hill Jokers. Eva Z helped to read all the novels and assisted with writing some very challenging questions. Congratulations to all participants and a very special thanks to Mrs Walters who had the difficult job of sourcing all the books from Gympie schools and libraries far and wide. I look forward to working with the Readers Cup Team in 2019. Happy reading!
LOST PROPERTY
This is some of our unnamed items currently in lost property. All items will be displayed at parade this Friday. Any items not collected will be donated to a local charity.
