Deputy Principal's Report
Welcome back to term 3, I trust everyone had a relaxing and enjoyable break. We have another busy term ahead starting with the Year 6 visit to 'Voices on the Coast' this Friday, 4/5W and 5N visiting the local University and the Year 3 children going to camp. Let's hope the weather warms up in the next week for our happy campers.
I would like to thank all the parents and family members who turned up to our athletics carnival and supported the children in their events, on the last Wednesday of the term. It was an amazing day despite the intermittent showers. Student attendance and participation was fantastic with staff enjoying the student's enthusiasm and great behaviour. A special thankyou to Mr Walters for organising and running the carnival. The ball games were a very popular addition to the day. A special mention to our announcer for the day, Miss Rozynski, she not only had the students organised but kept the team spirits high. Thank you to the P&C volunteers for running the canteen on the day, raising much valued funds for the school. Congratulations to the winning team Radford!
Reports were handed out at the end of term two. If you have any concerns or would like further information about your child's progress please make a time to meet with their teacher.
Swimming starts for Prep classes this Thursday. All permission forms and payments must be finalised by Wednesday this week. Please see Mrs Grogan if you would like to discuss the swimming program. Volunteers are welcome to help at the pool.
Today you will receive a letter inviting you to answer an online survey for our school. The annual School Opinion Survey will be conducted between 29 June and 31 July 2015. All families, school staff and a random sample of students will be invited to participate. We encourage you to take this opportunity to have your say about what this school does well, and how our school can improve. We value your feedback. If you would like help accessing the survey or would like to use a school computer to complete the survey, please contact Helen Grogan at the office.
Kind Regards,
Helen Grogan
Deputy Principal
Before and After School Care
As we now provide this service students will no longer be allowed to stay under the administration building until 8.00 am. All students dropped off before 8.30 am must be taken to the hall for supervision with our before school care facilitator. Students who require supervision after school must also attend our after school care facility. We have implemented this service to ensure all students have the best duty of care and can access fun and meaningful activities whilst being supervised. Please see the Camp Australia attachment below for booking details. If you have any questions please contact me in the office. Please register your child.
Kind Regards Helen Grogan

All Australian Governments have agreed to work together on the annual collection of data on school students with disability.
Please be reassured that the Department will not provide another organisation with any data that can identify an individual student. While only data that cannot identify your child will be submitted outside of the Department, if you do not wish for your child's details to be included, or you have any questions please contact Mrs Seed on 54 890555. Additional information is available from: Department's website: http://education.qld.gov.au/curriculum/disability-data-collection.html
