LEADERSHIP TEAM REPORT
Hi Everyone,
Volleyball Competition
Jones Hill had four teams compete at the Primary Schools Volleyball Competition in Brisbane, last week. All teams improved in confidence and skills with the girls’ team winning and receiving a gold medal. The children really enjoyed the day, this was a great experience and the players showed genuine team spirit by encouraging each other. Thank you to Mrs Elson and Mr Littler for organising this event and training the teams. Thanks also to Mrs Munn and Mr Mills who attended the day and encouraged the children to do their best.
Rugby League Gala Day
Two teams of year 2 & 3 students had a great day at Albert Park participating in Rugby League drills in the morning with guidance from some Broncos and NRL players. In the afternoon, the teams played six games each, learning new skills and building confidence. The children had a great time and thanks to Mr Rentz who has been training the teams, was proud of their effort, commitment and the positive way they participated on the day.
Little Kids Day Out
Jones Hill were fortunate to be part of the Little Kids Day Out, last Saturday. We enjoyed being part of the community and doing construction with some very clever and creative young children and their families. A great learning experience for all involved and a lot of fun. Thank you to Mrs Ryan for organising this event and everyone who helped out on the day.
School Musical
This Friday, 9th September and Saturday, 10th September, some very talented Jones Hill students will be performing a Rock Musical called Superkids at Hamilton Hall, Gympie State High School at 6pm. Unfortunately, tickets for both nights are sold out. Mrs Crow, staff and students have been rehearsing and polishing their performance for months. We wish them all the best for their performances and are looking forward to seeing them in action.
2023 Prep Enrolment
Do you have a child who will be starting Prep in 2023? If you have not already registered to enrol, please contact Mrs Hurren at the office to organise an interview time and enrolment forms.
