SPRING FESTIVAL
Only 1 week to go!
Spring Festival will be held on Friday, October 14 at Jones Hill State School. This full day event will see all the students participate in varied learning experiences outside the classroom, collaborating with our community. This is a normal school day, so full school uniform is required.
As part of Spring Festival, we have a number of competitions, we invite all students to enter as many competitions as they like. The entries are to be completed at home, not in class time. Some competitions are open to family and friends.
Spring Festival will see us host many community groups who will present an educational and entertaining session for the students. We invite families to join the classes on the day as they progress through the activities.
Please follow the newsletter and Facebook for updates on Spring Festival.

RELAY FOR LIFE
Gympie Relay for Life will take place on Saturday, October 29 at Gympie South School. Jones Hill School will have a team taking part on this day. There is still time to join if you wish. See Mrs Hurren for details.
Help & Donations
At Relay we are running a BBQ as an onsite fundraiser. If you are able to offer an hour or two to help cook or serve at our BBQ please contact Mrs Hurren. We are also looking for donations of soft drinks, sausages & bread.
Guess How Many
Our lovely tuckshop convenors have organised a “guess how many competition” to support our Relay for Life fundraising. For $1 a guess you will have the chance to win a large jar full of treats. Visit the tuckshop to have and have a guess. The competition will start Tuesday, October 11 and run until Friday, October 28.
COLOUR EXPLOSION SCHOOL FUN RUN
Our 2022 Colour Run will be held on Friday, October 21. All participants will need to wear a white shirt, as they will be covered in non-toxic, biodegradable colour powder from head to toe.
This year, there are two changes to the Colour Explosion School Fun Run.
- The Colour Explosion School Fun Run is a CASHLESS EVENT. This means that money needs to be deposited via the QKR app OR through a Student Profile page created on the www.australianfundraising.com.au website. Fundraising opened on September 9 and closes on October 14. No money will be accepted after this date.
- Students automatically achieve incentive prizes as they fundraise, starting from $10. Each prize is ordered automatically, so you don’t need to worry about prize ordering!
There are two options for fundraising.
Option 1:
$5 participation fee paid through the QKR app.
Option 2:
Students must obtain $10 or more in donations to receive a prize
- Collect donations and deposit the money through the QKR app or create a student profile page at www.myprofilepage.com.au , which is unique to you and register for online fundraising. It’s the easiest way to help your child raise money and to reach your fundraising goal sooner. ($5 participation fee in not required)
LITTLE KOALAS PLAYGROUP
Great News! Little Koalas Playgroup will be continuing in Term 4. Mrs Mitchell and Mrs Adamson will be running the playgroup from 2pm-3pm in the PM classroom.
