2024 PREP ENROLMENTS
Jones Hill School is now accepting expressions of interest for children who will be starting Prep in 2024 (Children born between 1 July, 2018 – 30 June 2019). If you live in our catchment area or are a current parent, please fill in the form below and return it to our school office or email jhurr5@eq.edu.au .
ROAD CRAFT
On Monday, 4G and 3/4B attended the Roadcraft education centre to support their learning about rules and laws. We participated in the learning of road safety through the lens of being a safe passenger in a car, being a safe pedestrian and safety when riding bikes or scooters. We learnt about what to look for and where to cross the road, to ensure we are as safe as possible in busy traffic areas.
We then put our learning of road rules into practice around the bike track. After fitting our helmets correctly, we got to ride bicycles with our classmates while following the road signs. This was our favourite part of the experience. We took away a better understanding of road rules which will help us be safer around our busy roads. There is so much more to think about than just riding the bike.
