LEADERSHIP TEAM REPORT
As a busy term 2 comes to a close, we would like to wish all of our families and staff at Jones Hill a very safe and enjoyable holiday. We have been very impressed with the work students have produced this term and this was evident in their report card results. If you are able, we would love to see you at Sports Day this Friday to cheer on the children and to have a fun day out. We look forward to seeing everyone back for Term 3. Stay safe and look after each other.
Sports Day
Our annual sports day will be held this Friday, June 25. The day will commence with a March past at 9am. There will be no parade on sports day.
Sports Day Programs are available for purchase from our school office Cost is $2.
Parents are welcome to attend sports day but please follow COVID restrictions and sign in on arrival using our QR Code.
Students can wear their coloured shirt for Sports Day – Doran is yellow, McPaul is blue and Radford is red. Don’t forget your hat and water bottle.
Social Distancing Restrictions
Although students are able to be near each other in classrooms, we are still under the direction from Qld Health to adhere to social distancing rules for adults. Therefore, we are restricting adult contact in school, by asking parents/carers to not enter classrooms and to drop off and pick up children in safe locations, outside the school gates or as arranged by the teacher. Thank you for your assistance in helping to keep everyone safe.
Hygiene Measures
We will continue to implement consistent hygiene measures to keep our students and staff safe. The following hygiene procedures are in place at school.
- regular handwashing and hand sanitising, particularly before and after eating, and after going to the toilet
- encouraging students and staff to cough or sneeze into their elbow
- increased cleaning of school classrooms, particularly high frequency touch points including water fountains or bubblers
- regular cleaning of play equipment and materials
- individual water bottles for personal use
Kind Regards,
James Watt - Principal
Stacey Seed – Deputy Principal

NATIVE PLANT DONATION FROM NATIVES ‘R’US NURSERY
A big thank you to Jacinta from Natives ‘R’ Us Nursery for donating $500.00 worth of plants to our school.
Natives ‘R’ Us are a Production Nursery with all plants at the Nursery in Traveston grown from cuttings from her own trees and shrubs. Please visit Jacinta and take a look at her vast range of plants available to enhance your garden.
Everything is grown onsite and raised in growing areas in full sun conditions, this is to ensure that they become hardy plants and our customers don’t have to “baby” them when they get them home.
